The peel performance of tapes, protective films, labels and die‑cutting accessories serves as a core indicator for quality control of adhesive products. The Chongqing Wanwei WV‑BL1501 computer‑controlled peel force tester is a microcomputer‑controlled universal tensile testing machine. It can perform 180° peel, 90° peel and T‑peel tests. Meanwhile, it supports multiple mechanical tests including tension, compression and puncture to effectively guarantee the quality of adhesive products.

The WV‑BL1501 computer‑controlled peel force tester covers a wide range of test samples, including metals, polymer materials, 3M tapes, self‑adhesive labels, PET protective films and various die‑cutting accessories. The equipment can be operated via the standalone main unit or matched with a microcomputer. Multi‑functional with one single device, it meets diversified quality‑inspection demands of factories, and is a commonly‑used testing instrument in quality‑control laboratories of adhesive manufacturers and die‑cutting workshops.

Test Environment and Specimen Requirements for Peel Force

For tape peel‑strength tests, the environment and specimen preparation directly affect the accuracy of test results. In accordance with national standard test requirements:

Test environment control: temperature 23℃±2℃, humidity 50% RH±5% RH. Specimens shall be kept in such constant‑temperature‑and‑humidity environment for no less than 4 hours before testing; after specimens are attached to the test plate, leave them to stand for 20 min prior to tests.

Cut test strips from representative materials, with a standard width of 25 mm and a minimum length of 175 mm. Cuts shall be neat and burr‑free. Prepare at least three specimens for each material. Use a standard pressure roller to roll over specimens back and forth three times at a speed of 300‑600 mm/min, and ensure no air bubbles exist on the bonding surface.

Standard Operating Procedures for WV‑BL1501 Peel Force Tester

  1. Connect the equipment to the computer. Turn on the power supply of the equipment first, then launch the test software.
  2. Replace the corresponding test fixtures according to test requirements.
  3. Select the corresponding test method in the software.
  4. Specimen handling: cut standard specimens, press and bond specimens with a standard roller, leave them to stand for 20 min (adjustable per customer requirements), mount specimens and make sure materials stay in a relaxed state.
  5. Click Start Test. The equipment runs automatically and stops automatically upon test completion to save data.
  6. Data analysis: repeat tests 3‑5 times for the same material, collect and analyze all data.
  7. Export and print test reports.

Notes for Peel‑force Tests

① It is recommended to run 3‑5 tests for each group of specimens and take the average value as the final result.

② Always adjust the limit protection device after replacing fixtures to prevent damage to the sensor.

③ Do not allow non‑professionals to operate the equipment, so as to avoid equipment damage and safety accidents.

Following standardized operating procedures, the Chongqing Wanwei WV‑BL1501 peel force tester helps adhesive and die‑cutting enterprises standardize peel‑strength testing and delivers reliable data support for product quality control.
